The Clash that Changed History
Departing from Edge of the Camp Gift Shop in Garryowen, Montana, you’ll travel east along U.S. Highway 212 toward Rosebud Battlefield State Park—a vast, rolling landscape where the thunder of hoofbeats and war cries once filled the air. Along the way, hear the untold stories of strategy, survival, and the fierce battle that erupted just one week before Custer’s Last Stand.
Once at the battlefield, we’ll step off the bus for 20 minutes, giving you time to take in the sweeping views and imagine the chaos and courage of that fateful day. As we loop around the battlefield, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how this fight changed the course of history—with warrior tactics, surprise attacks, and a dramatic showdown involving the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and General Crook’s forces.
The tour concludes back at Edge of the Camp Gift Shop, but the story of the Battle of the Rosebud will stay with you forever. Join us for an unforgettable look at the battle that shaped the fate of the West.
